Our quality standards

Every maker accepted into MiniMade signs up to a shared standard. This is what curation means here, and what it means for the pieces that arrive at your door.

Craft & construction

All seams reinforced. No raw edges where skin meets fabric. Linings on every formal piece. Hand-finished hems on heirloom items. Three-point quality inspection before dispatch.

Child safety

CE / UKCA-compliant trims and fastenings. No loose buttons under 36 months. Cords and ties cut to safe lengths per BS EN 14682. Care labels in English, with full fibre breakdown.

Materials & sourcing

Natural fibres preferred — cotton, linen, wool, silk. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or equivalent for all dyed fabrics in direct skin contact. Source country disclosed on every product page.

Ethical production

UK-based making. Fair pay for everyone in the supply chain. No subcontracting to unverified workshops. Makers tell you the hands behind the piece.

Fit & finish

Made-to-measure pieces must arrive within 10mm of the measurements you submitted. Free alteration window for the first 30 days for true bespoke items.

Service & accountability

Maker scorecards are public — on-time rate, returns rate, average lead time. Three consecutive standard breaches and we pause the maker until they're resolved.

Standards are reviewed annually with an advisory panel of parents, makers and a children's-wear safety specialist. Last review: 2026.
